Colour of Components
The overall appearance of the bicycle is influenced not only by the frame and fork colour but also by the colour of the parts mounted to the bike. Therefore we offer most components in a choice of black or silver.
We have grouped these parts into three colour sets.
One group is called „parts colour“: This group includes the rear rack, lowrider, fenders and chain guard. It is usually best to order these parts in the same colour, either silver or black.
The next group is the „steering unit colour“: This group includes the handlebars, stem, headset, seatpost and, if applicable, the spacer rings or Speedlifter. These components also look best when used in the same colour, silver or black.
The third group is the „wheel colour“: This group includes the rims, rear-wheel hub and front-wheel hub. All rims are available in both silver and black. However there are only certain hubs that are available in black, such as Rohloff, SON or front cartridge bearing hubs. Of these components the rim colour has the greatest influence on the bike’s appearance.
There are certain frame colours that are often used in combination with black components: These include ruby red, melon yellow and ivory. Other frame colours are frequently combined with silver components: the elegant, translucent finishes moss green and burgundy, as well as the dark and bold steel blue. Black frames also look nice with a few silver components here and there.
